Whats hiding within?
My name is Seyana I want to be a journalist but my family is always moving and i never get the chance, and now we just have to move to the remote Kalahari dessert for 3 years!
"you better get packing Seyana, the movers should be here soon",my mom said.
"but what if i don't want to go!I don't want to spend 3 years in a dessert,"I said.
"actually the Kalahari is a semi- dessert", corrected my mom
I ran upstairs to pack, I packed a picture of my friends, a flashlight, clothes, my camera, and my painting supplies, also a spool of string and a wilderness survival book.
Finally I said bye and left, in 3 hours and I will be in a remote semi-dessert.
As we arrived a girl met us by the airport to drive us into the Kalahari, her name was Abril,
we drove by giraffes and herds of zebras galloping across the plains.
We arrived and Abril left, we decided to unpack in the morning so we just went to sleep, I kept waking up to hear everything but the sound of a city, right then and there I grabbed my bag and quietly sneaked out, I ran as far as I could to where I could not see the house behind me then brought it to walk ,but I had to get as far as possible before morning.
I walked for miles, well it was what it felt like, some how out in the dessert I felt at peace, that was until I came across a lion sleeping, but it did not seem to be a threat ,instead she looked toward the lions ear and saw that the lion was injured.
I had to help him, I got out the string and ripped a part off of a t-shirt and wrapped it carefully around the lions ear, and then left before it could wake up,but I had not noticed that it already was awake.
I walked away from where the lion had been, and tried to find food according to my book there are a certain type of root that has a bitter taste but helps help hydration.
Their is also a lot of fruit that grows in the Kalahari that I could eat , but I found nothing accept for a small strawberry looking berry, that I was not so sure I should eat.
I will finish this story tommorow
